01 / Designed Around Your Interior
Your curtains should feel like they belong to the architecture
Window treatments influence more than the window. They shape natural light, privacy, proportion and the visual atmosphere of an interior.
AKP Smart Curtains brings together custom curtains, blinds, layered window treatments and motorized options so the final choice responds to the real space rather than a standard product.

04 / Smart Curtains
Let the curtains move with the room
Motorized curtains make regular opening and closing more convenient, especially across large curtain spans, tall glazing and windows that are less comfortable to operate manually.
If your project may connect to a wider automation setup, discuss the intended control method and compatibility requirements before selecting the final configuration.

10 / Curtains for Dubai Interiors
Designed around daylight, privacy and large glazing
Dubai homes often combine strong natural daylight with large areas of glazing. That makes privacy, room darkening and curtain scale important considerations.
A sheer layer can soften daylight while keeping the room feeling open. A heavier second layer can then provide stronger privacy or light control when required.
For larger windows and sliding doors, the size of the opening also influences fabric weight, curtain span and whether motorized operation may be worth considering.
Strong daylight
Choose opacity according to how much daylight you want to retain.
Daytime privacy
Sheer fabrics can create privacy while preserving a lighter interior.
Bedroom darkening
Consider blackout options where stronger light reduction is important.
Large glazing
Large openings benefit from careful planning of span, fabric and operation.

12 / Curtain Questions
Useful answers before you choose
Understand the differences between curtain styles, blinds, layering and motorization before deciding what suits your room.
What is the difference between sheer and blackout curtains?
Sheer curtains softly filter daylight and provide lighter daytime privacy.
Blackout curtains are considered where stronger light reduction
and privacy are important.
Can sheer and blackout curtains be installed together?
Yes. Layering a sheer with a heavier curtain provides greater flexibility
between daytime light, privacy and stronger room darkening.
What are wave curtains?
Wave curtains create soft, regular folds across the track,
giving the window a clean contemporary appearance.
When should I consider motorized curtains?
Motorized curtains can be useful for large curtain spans,
frequently used windows, tall glazing and openings that are difficult
to operate manually.
Are Roman blinds suitable for bedrooms?
Roman blinds can work well in bedrooms where a compact fabric treatment
is preferred. The selected fabric and opacity should reflect the level
of light control required.
What is the difference between Roman blinds and roller blinds?
Roman blinds lift into soft fabric folds, while roller blinds roll
around a tube and create a flatter, simpler appearance.
How should I choose curtain fabric?
Consider colour, texture, weave, opacity, weight, natural light
and whether the curtain will be used alone or as part of a layered treatment.
Do you provide measurement and installation?
Yes. Measurement and installation support form part of the
AKP Smart Curtains service process.
Can I visit the AKP Smart Curtains showroom?
Yes. AKP Smart Curtains is located at Traders Market,
YIWU Market, Shop G4101, Jabal Ali Industrial Second, Dubai.
The showroom is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
